SEMAPHORE 04:12
Waving flags at each other Now and again A desert in the rain In my imagination Intermittent communication Details forgotten Of words spoken Better to forget You won’t win every race In which you take part You won’t even finish All that you start Dreams you have today I don't know them So I'm guessing I could make them happen You won’t win every race In which you take part You won’t even finish All that you start

I know that you’re beaten I know what you’re feeling We’ve been feeling it for months now What will we do when it grows a mind? Bold, italic, and underlined Don’t you see what you do to me Shrink me down to size I know that you’re beaten Nothing prepares you for the colours retreating I know what you’re feeling I’ve seen love in hellish places I’ve seen love in a million faces Atom bombs in personal spaces What will we do if it grows big? Women and children will up sticks Clown town brown bow-wow The boat’s out more than we allow Oh, melodramatica What will we do if it grows a brain? The methods of the inhumane Don’t you see what you do to me Shrink me down to size What will we do if it's self-aware? Mickey Mouse grew up a bear! Don’t you see what you do to me Shrink me down to size

JUNK MILES 03:08
Monster on your back Bones to be cracked Money in the black Name up on a plaque We’ve been pointing at the sun Blinding everyone Waiting for the rapture It's already begun What came first The chicken or the egg? The service or the cheque? The circus or the animals? What came first The damage or the wreck? Finished or perfect? Fear or respect? What came first? Calibrate your head There’s something overhead Rid me of the dread What came first?
Speak to the undead Dine with the undead Fuck with the undead Why’ve you been wasting all your time on Junk miles, junk miles, junk miles The piece of the puzzle is a square in a round hole Why’ve you been wasting all your time on junk miles You’ve been running those junk miles, bleeding on the textiles, blocking all the sundials, sitting in the meat aisles, biding your time while, we all become fertile, choking on today’s bile, nobody is versatile, and nobody is worthwhile

BALLOON BOY 03:02
Come on dance media, dance Falcons fly but not today Leave my wife to the tether I tell you that thing just flew away Close the airspace now Save my boy somehow There’s an issue of a million volts I can’t explain it now Send the choppers to the skies Followed by two million eyes It’s not quite Roswell More tinfoil, string, duct tape A world holds its breath Hoping he’ll stay safe Two million US Dollars Two million eyes will follow Mobilise the Sheriff’s office And gather up the local police It’s not quite Roswell More tinfoil, string, duct tape A world holds its breath Hoping he’ll stay safe He is my balloon boy Colorado needs a new toy

Clap you hands for the surreal Everything peaced out and piecemeal Mistake beauty for horror Van Gogh paint me in a corner Befriend those with solutions Dip your feet in the ocean Put your hands up to the lights Silhouette dogs in silhouette nights Drip feed, intravenous Keep it in between us Do you want to continue? No thank you Clap your hands for the surreal Everyone scared of a square meal Mistake horror for beauty The fear of you goes right through me Keep your cards close to your chest And keep your head close to the rest I never said you were hired I never said you were fired Nature or nurture, Choose your own adventure Blow out all the lanterns We’ve been trying to form patterns A beating heart to keep in time A ladder ribcage you can climb Cut off the air supply Fading apple of my eye

200,000 to 100 We live in a cupboard under the stairs From 100 to 24 Space food and colourful buttons What if i want to turn back? What if I miss my parents? Darkness breeds all patterns Light me up like a Chinese lantern Micro-sleep, porthole or portal “Good morning” you’ve already said it to me My lungs batter my ribcage Is there a doctor on board, I’m bored What if it all just turns black? Jobsworth Auto-pilot This isn't what I imagined Call me chicken, call me old-fashioned Total Recall, Apollo 13, Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind In 2001 someone died Armageddon, Gravity, Interstellar, E.T. Men in Black, Mars Attack, Sunshine, Wall-E Independance Day The Earth Stood Still, Roll me down the Hollywood hills Coming live straight to TV We’re working on the two week feed delay Still image, empty fields of clay Round-the-clock-multi-angle-pay-per-view Citizen Kane - IN SPACE! Schindler's List - IN SPACE! Cinema Paradiso - IN SPACE! The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas - IN SPACE! La vita è bella- IN SPACE! Hotel Rwanda - IN SPACE! Kramer vs Kramer - IN SPACE! A holiday under a burning sun Like the one you had before Dollars paid to have some fun But you're always after more A savage benefactor With a perfect smile A savage benefactor Been making plans for a while We can make that happen sir If you can afford to pay the price As large as you would like to have sir A huge trophy would be nice A savage benefactor With a perfect smile A savage benefactor Been making plans for a while Tell me the words to use To make this go away It seems I've got so much to lose And not too much to say

LAMENT 03:56
She had a heart of gold And their hearts they bled And the butcher's knife Was for slicing bread An ocean of tears From all her friends And the bullets in her drawer Were for self defense She hurt no one Such a nice kid But her foul mouth was Hereditary She prayed to God Even with no sin And the pile of bank notes Were a lottery win On her coffin lid There lays a wreath And her black-eyed neighbour Is lying through his teeth
10.
Who said you'd be fine? It's what I heard It's 1929 in your head In time we won't feel that way
11.
Some calls you get right and some calls you get wrong It's more about the timing and less what you have done I know it's late in the day now but if not now then tell me when? Perhaps I'm just blind to the setting sun or knowing when it's too late to start again You might have been the hero in another story Now you're trapped as a villian, though a reluctant one surely Some calls you get right and some calls you get wrong It's more about the timing and less what you have done

about

In August of 2016, whilst most kids were frolicking through flowering meadows, or wild swimming in sun-kissed lakes, the PILOSA trio were holed up in a stuffy room in Neepsend, Sheffield recording this very album. Crafted over the following four months, this is the fruit of an ambitious DIY project which saw plenty of highs, lows, and Googling. We're rather proud of what we've achieved, and we hope you like it

-------REVIEWS-------

VIBE SHEFFIELD - 4/5

MUSICOLOGY - 4/5

"Such Animals is a fun sounding album with bouncy rhythms that helps to raise the mood without relying on specific formulae and theory in order to get its point across. This is a piece of art that contains a soul, which is one of the best things about it." - NOW THEN MAGAZINE

"Synths, loops, drums, and vocals that joyfully skip from the blooming pop of College, the incessant hip hop of Madvillain, and a touch of The Hitcher." - SLOUCHER

"This is an album which excels in production, in song writing, and in technical performance." - REYT GOOD MUSIC
